Plattekill, New York
The town of Plattekill is located just north of the Town of Newburgh in central Ulster Count, New York, inside Catskill Park. The population was 9,892 at the 2000 census. Its name is derived from the Platte Kill stream.
The town was settled early in the 18th Century. The Town of Plattekill was established in 1800 from part of the Town of Marlborough.
